I personally don't like the idea that the government, throught the state, can tell a citizen HOW they can execute their second amendment right. In chicago, the citizens didn't have the capability to own a handgun legally for years. The crime didn't decrease, it increased. Because the criminals knew they were mostly the only citizens with guns.

Creating hoops for people to jump through, like classes and registration (which exposes a citizen to being put on a government lists), are to cumbersome to burden for a good many people.
