You are absolutely correct. The U.S. has been engaging in military and economic conquest since the nation was born. This fear of nukes is simply an excuse to exert leverage on Iran. Iran has no way to prove they are not making nukes, so the accusation will remain forever, or until the Iranian government allows the U.S. to exert influence on essential Iranian government and business dealings. Anyone who thinks the U.S's actions with Iran stem from fear of nuclear proliferation are naive. Most redditors are too young to remember that it was the US government that overthrew their peaceful, secular government and installed the religious leaders they have today.
