A bit late, but I've been thinking of doing an AskReddit submission about this curiosity. This is a much better way to ask my question.

I drive a VW Golf TDI. During the first month (dealer tags), trucks would often honk-honk at me after I'd pass them and return to the right lane.

The first time it happened, I was quite confused. I signaled and left plenty of room. I couldn't figure out why he was honking. After the 5th occurrence, I was beginning to wonder if it was some sort of "Welcome to the diesel club!" greeting. Once I received my plates, the honk-honks stopped.

Is that an actual thing, or was I probably being an oblivious asshole the entire month?

Any tips on recovering from suicide grief? I’ve lost loved ones naturally before, but my beloved cousin’s suicide was over 3 years ago, and I’m still stuck in my grief with no end in sight. This grief is so utterly different than grief I had experienced prior, and I just can’t find my “acceptance”.
