Whenever I see a documentary about the war that features a unit with an interpreter, I always think "well surely they'll give him asylum in the US, what other option is there?".
Two things:
Thank you for interpreting for our military.
Looking back, was it worth it? We know what happens to Iraqis and Afghans who cooperate with NATO forces. Was it worth it, for all intents and purposes, pretty much giving up your ability to live in your country so you can help secure it?

I work out of Maine. I want to get into wildland firefighting, what do I need to do? I like structural, but here in Maine, outdoors is where we live lol.

Firefighter from Maine. So how you like your turnout gear in the heat? I really do not look forward to summer.

Well remember he didn't torture him, he just captured him. Not a whole lot to be sorry about on his end, just my thoughts though.
