"Guts" will always stick with me for the wrong reasons.

I was in college, and my suite mate and I shared a bathroom. He had a subscription to Playboy and would leave the issues on the toilet tank. So, one day, I had to take a massive shit and needed something to read; I saw that there was a Chuck Palahniuk short story in that issue. There I was, taking a crap, and I started reading "Guts." Needless to say, that was one of the most terrifying craps I've ever taken. I was too afraid to get off the toilet, but also too afraid to stay on the toilet.
