Well... if all the furniture stores in your city sell shitty chairs, you should probably make chairs. Maybe you've built couches and tables that didn't work out so well. But, goddamn, you make a really good chair and it sells well.

Now, when someone asks you how much luck factored into your success, is it wrong to say "none"? In my eyes, a combination of timing, market awareness, and talent isn't luck.

Edit: I suppose timing and market conditions are outside of one's control, but I would consider it to be luck if several similar apps of similar quality popped up at once and only one became successful.
