There's a red triangle above the bed (usually says "emergency pull" on it/next to it) that you use for emergencies. That will sound a big ass alarm and have everyone running in. The little buzzer on the remote is like for asking them to refill your water jug.

As an emetophobe... I am sorry :( Does the medication help much? I have used it before, but found mixed results.
