Interesting answer. I really enjoyed Looper as well; considering he'll be directing Star Wars, he must really have a knack for sci-fi. That's intriguing since he directed Fly and Ozymandias, two of the most character driven episodes of Breaking Bad. I think he could definitely do something interesting.
My dream scenario would be David Fincher directing the entirety of True Detective Season 2. David Fincher + Crime = GOLD. Zodiac, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Se7en...his style is perfect for that show.

Wes Anderson + Stop Motion? Now I'm just imagining a wildly inappropriate and fast-paced version of Wallace and Gromit on HBO.

Oh don't get me wrong, I would totally watch a dirty Wallace and Gromit type show, especially when I get some Colorado beer in me. I need to check out Fantastic Mr. Fox; I've only seen Life Aquatic, Grand Budapest, and Royal Tenenbaums.
I do think the asteroid mining is a fantastic idea, but I would not want any hint of aliens. The future of asteroid mining is so exciting and opens so many possibilities, I would love to see a realistic depiction of it. You could even have Mars colonized by humans when the show is set, so the dynamic between Earth and the colony on Mars could be explored.

This AMA is mildly interesting. When are you guys going to get back out to the Midwest with the Personal Arrogants crew? Listening to old PA episodes, I was bummed to hear I missed an epic drinking binge with all of you in Colorado.
Lately, A-List directors have been producing a lot of shows. Berg (Leftovers), Fincher (House of Cards), Del Torro (The Strain), etc... What director would you like to see produce/create a TV Show? Lets assume it's on HBO and they can do anything.
