I'm a university professor. I also have ties to the publishing industry, so I know how bullshit what they charge is. I do everything I can to make sure my students don't have to buy any textbooks. Anything else I can do to help?

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I teach in a public college, and I've taught in the past at a community college in a very poor city. I believe wholeheartedly in the public option, and I think institutions ought to be ashamed of themselves for subsidizing the bloated, inefficient textbook industry. I've worked both as a freelancer and as a consultant for textbook companies, and they do not spend their money well.

Anyhow, I'm really glad to now know that there are activists working with this issue. I'm very excited to get back in September and do something more concrete about the problem. Up until now I've only really been ranting.

Can you explain exactly what it is you're talking about? All of your answers are incredibly vague. Which doesn't make any sense.
