In your opinion, is there any way this conflict could end other than either side claiming a military victory? Would Bashar al-Assad ever conceivably step aside under an amnesty agreement, power-sharing arrangement, or some other non-military option?

Thanks Andrew, though I would certainly like to see some political solution that would draw this conflict to a close ASAP it is difficult to see where compromise could be found, particularly, as you noted, as the nation continues to polarise.

On a side note, thank you for your efforts in reporting on this conflict. I have seen some amazing journalism come out of Syria recently and I stand in awe of the risks you journalists accept as part of your job.
