I'm always curious as to what topic(s) doctoral students choose to focus their dissertation on. Without going into any detail that could potentially reveal your identity, what did you study for your final dissertation and what interested you about the topic?

Do you foresee any sort of widespread forgiveness-plan or bubble-like effect in the world of student loans? Also, I'm a public school teacher and I have heard rumors that there is a loan forgiveness program that I could apply to, but that it is rather complicated and often results in a denial. Do you have any advice for me in regards to that?
