How is living in the suburbs cheaper than living in the woods and partially living off the land?

You say you didn't have technology, yet you had electricity, a car, a computer, etc. You say you went to a normal school and had friends, so I assume your school at least had a TV and the like? What exactly kind of technology did you grow up without, just video games and stuff or...?

Also you mentioned in one comment you home-schooled yourself in high school? Why did you stop going to school, especially once you moved to the suburbs?

My very good friend died from another tumor coming back after having gone through treatment multiple times. We were 16. Just wanted to say I'm glad you are still here.
