No.

Don't say anything. Just say you want to disconnect and don't give any reason at all. Don't even give a reason for why you won't give a reason. The more you say, the more we have to work with.

I wouldn't say it embarrasses me. I'm not proud of the reputation though. The most common response that I get when I tell people where I work is "fuck Comcast".

I know the call you're referring to. That call specifically was not how a disconnection should be handled. Nothing about that was right. I assure you that guy got fired. Granted, we are suppose to try and talk you out of it, he should not have gone on nearly that long (among many other things he did wrong).

Most agents will give up trying to "save" you after like two or three attempts. The quickest way a customer can get by me personally is to not give any reason at all for disconnecting. It pisses me off because it gives me nothing to work with, but it saves time because I'm not going to ask more questions and try to use your answers against you. I'll ask twice, but if you insist on simply disconnecting and not talking about it, I will put you on hold for a minute or two while I shut your service off and get you on your way. Typically a call like this would take me about four or five minutes total from the time I say hi to the time you hang up.

No. Actually, I assume that I would be fired for this. They did not give me permission. Especially because if the right questions are asked, I will give out some secrets.
