I know modern designs are wonderful and I'm totally pro-nuclear, but I can't imagine building them in earthquake-prone California is the best idea. Even if they are 100% safe there (newer designs that can be shutdown quickly) imagine the cost of rebuilding one after a quake.
I would think tidal energy generation and windfarms would be a better idea for California.

To add to this...
Three years ago Google really started pushing the Qi standard with the Nexus 4. The past three Nexus phones have come with it, in fact. Everyone was dismayed when this year's models didn't.
Has the fact that the rest of the industry hasn't picked up this feature just made Google give up on it?
