I think Pit Bulls are a breed that could have turned out great, I have rescued many that were sweet as could be. My PERSONAL OPINION is that people started breeding for size instead of personality traits. Any good breeder will not breed a bad attitude. Pit Bulls were originally bred to be 30 pounds and hunt rodents. But now we are seeing 100lb massive dogs with horrible manners and bad attitudes. I love the breed, don't get me wrong. The ones I rescued never showed a single ounce of aggression. BUT, they are being mass backyard bred with no attention being out into their personality traits. Its a recipe for disaster no matter what breed.
