Hello, Mr Watts.

What made you choose the nature of consciousness as a focal point in the BlindSight universe? You can see your biology influence, specifically marine, in the crafting of the aliens, but what made you delve into the mind?

And this isn't a question, but just wanted to say I've been recommending your books to friends of mine who enjoy hard sci fi. I hope your audience grows.

Arthur C. Clark's 2001 series, and some of his other works, prided the intelligent Mind, with the idea being that consciousness was a prized commodity in the universe. I like seeing the flip side to that in your works. Kudos.

It sucks when it happens, my gym rotates the walls every 6-8 weeks.

I just use it as motivation. I have managed to not finish one or two climbs I've been working in the 3+ years since I have been climbing.
