With all due respect, this non-answer is why your criticism isn't taken seriously. Critics of intervention and today's realist foreign policy wonks live in a constant world of 20/20 hindsight, but don't offer anything as an alternative. The occasional prescriptions seem ambiguous and correct the past as opposed to look toward the future. Can you please give a bit more detail? Because a well hashed out alternative view on this could be valuable to the discussion.

Ok, but what do you do when you stop assistance to KSA and the UAE while Iranian meddling continues? By not having a hand in the situation, do you not exacerbate the situation?
