Are there any actual facts behind these ratings? The articles I read always used words like “they SEEM to adhere to (privacy rules)”, to me this all just seems very much your feeling about these apps (with your wording like “cool” and “yay”.)
Wysa seem to claim they are “GDPR compliant” but they write they save your data on US servers…
Are there any facts backing up these recommendations or are you just taking their words for everything?
Has the personal data transferred been analysed somehow? I.e. to which server data is being sent, how much data, etc.

Isn’t this exactly what modern spatial audio technology solves? A 2X sound source (headphones) with the effect of “true 3D” sound by fooling the brain?

Thanks for your answer! It makes sense from their own standpoint as authors.
I just find the whole thing a bit dodgy and I think it does not really help people who need to understand privacy. There is an actual “smart speaker” with always-on microphones and closed source software in the list classed as “not creepy”. It just all lowers the bar in consumer advice, we need to be way stricter than this. Especially today.
It feels like they have read the different companies TOS web pages and decided to believe all they say and then compiled it to a few hip sentences. 🤨

Maybe you should consider using Reddit using a different method? I have never seen an ad here and I use a mobile app (Apollo).
