I did mountains of work efficiency studies earlier in my career (things like checking production per hour fluctuations based on days of overtime, task, length of days, technician positioning (some people just worked better with the machine on one end of the room and not the other) I drew the conclusion it might be most efficient to do a 4 hour "Monday" for handoff and reorientation, then three twelves. This, to me seems like the most productivity per person per hour.

Is that insane?

Also, what makes you believe the owner class will accept this?
