What's it like to be a female in the Japanese work place? Is there a wage gap? Are there gender-specific positions internal to companies, or are they relatively egalitarian?

Is the younger Japanese generation struggling to internalise traditional work culture?

  1. Is there a possibility of a future patch that reduces GIF sizes for puzzles that use multiple copies of phase-shifted arms? For example, if I have a solution with 3 arms which do the same thing in the same location (at different times) the GIF-maker will wait until Arm 1 returns to its starting point before ending the GIF, when it could just end the GIF when Arm 2 reaches the same position. This would divide the file size by the number of relevant, repeating arms in the loop. (The GIFs are a genius feature btw, thank you for including them.)

  2. How exactly does the transmutation engine work out its loops...? Very often in order to get the minimal cycle count, I find myself having to hard-code the instructions to pump out six products, rather than just letting the transmutation engine do its thing. This is unsatisfying not only because the engine breaks almost immediately upon completion of six products, but because I totally feel like it’s my fault, and that if I knew better how the machine worked, I could shorten the length of my instructions. Any tips?

  3. Compared to your previous games, Opus seems much more heavily geared toward optimisation rather than actually difficult solutions. It’s usually pretty easy to come up with a solution on my first try, but it will most likely be terribly inefficient. Was this a conscious design emphasis?

Thank you for your awesome games, and please keep making them.
