There’s a story behind this. I remember seeing a article on why shuffle isn’t 100% random anymore.

Apparently it had to do with how the human brain interprets patterns everywhere.

If a playlist had 5 songs and you pressed shuffle. The next song you would hear would be 20/80 split between the same song or a different one. But this isn’t the case with Spotify’s shuffle.
