Two things I always like to ask men who served in the Pacific;

1. Give me your opinion on General MacArthur.

2. Did you sense that more attention and even supplies and support went to European Theater than to the Pacific?

George, can you tell us where you were and what was going on around you when you heard about two huge events in your life and what you were thinking? The events Pearl Harbor being bombed and JFK being assassinated.

Yeah 90% of resources to the theater that didn't attack the US, all while American boys are laying down their lives still fighting the Japanese. Never seemed like the best course of action. Either way I love hearing from the men who were in danger while the focus was in Europe.

My Step-Great-Grandfather landed in his first battlefield with only a sidearm and end up fighting the entire war with an acquired Japanese rifle.
