What is your best advice for a theater person of color to get out there? A lot of shows have been classified as "white" shows and at my high school, that's usually how they'd be cast.

Thank you so much! That's where I feel like I've been caught, I've made my way into the program and made myself known but there's still the "you have two really good actresses here and they each have their strengths and weaknesses but let's go with the white one" mindset at my school. But maybe I have to work a bit harder but that only means any hopeful successes will be bittersweet.
