"Hey ladies, this park has been great and all but let me take you back to my AOL couch. No? What if I told you there was a chair...and it vibrates..."

"You are more important than your purpose." I really, really like that.

It doesn't actually help religious organizations because, like you said, Hobby Lobby isn't a religious organization - they are for-profit. What it does is value a corporation's religious beliefs (as though a corporation is human and can have those) over the actual humans working for the corporation. Actually, using the word "religious" isn't correct because that implies all religions. As Justice Ginsburg said, "Would the exemption extend to employers with religiously grounded objections to blood transfusions (Jehovah's Witnesses); antidepressants (Scientologists); medications derived from pigs, including anesthesia, intravenous fluids, and pills coated with gelatin (certain Muslims, Jews, and Hindus); and vaccinations?" And if it doesn't extend to all religions, she goes on to say "Approving some religious claims while deeming others unworthy of accommodation could be 'perceived as favoring one religion over another,' the very risk the [Constitution's] Establishment Clause was designed to preclude."

If we are now catering to the religion of a non-human entity, how far does that catering go?

Truth is that I don't know all the legalities behind it. I'm still researching, but what I do know of it seems terribly wrong.

Growing up, watching Buffy changed a lot of things for me. As a girl being raised by a single father, it was incredible to see a three-dimensional female character that could fight and be vulnerable from one moment to the next. Watching Darla had a very similar affect on me. She had such ferocity and strength but also wasn't afraid of her own desires or weaknesses - it taught me a lot about what could define a woman. I'm not saying I wanted to BE Darla (she was a little too sociopath-y for my tastes) but she is hands-down one of the best written, strongest, most interesting female characters around. You looked like you had a blast playing her. Do you ever miss that character?

Hi Rick! Thanks for doing this. I work in an office with an avid fan of yours who doesn't have reddit so I'm here representing her. She would like to know: what is your issue with flowers and why do you beat them against your guitar until they're nothing but petals?
