You are one of my biggest influences / inspirations as a songwriter and musician, and I respect you more than almost any other musician out there today. You’re honest in both your creative output, as well as your public image. That is something I find lacking in the music industry I wanted to thank you for always being that way.
I’ve got a few questions for you as well, if you don’t mind.
What major differences are there in separating yourself from a major label and do you find that there are any cons to this approach? I feel that is the way the music industry is headed and would love to know your thoughts since you have seen both sides of things.
