Laphroaig 10 isn't cask strength, which means it's alcohol content has already been normalized at 40%, watering down is usually done with cask strength scotches (around 50% or higher ABV). A little drop in a glass of 40% will probably not water it down, so you can definitely try but it's not really necessary.
