Thank you for doing your job! I'm a Cna and luckily haven't had to do any of that ( luckily no one I had even died when I had them). I do remember saying goodbye to a lady after she had passed and made sure they kept her favorite blanket with her.

I don't get how people can just stand around and watch another patient/resident trying to attach eachother. Some people just think it's funny and maybe someone else will stop it. I just don't get that at all.

Unknowingly once ( over a bingo seat) almost got stabbed with a sewing needle protecting another resident who was blind. I couldn't believe what some people would do and not do for their "people".

Shit sorry I suck at reddit sometimes I'm such a noob haha! It's good to hear other people enjoy their job even tho they get abused by the ones they are supposed to take care of.

Yikes I'm sorry to hear that. Do you love your job though?

When working it was like a love hate relationship. Even though they would hit kick and all that I still cared because they were my "people". The best part I think you would agree if your "people" get better or actually get to go home. Like you made a diffrence.

Thank you for answering my questions and also doing what you do. Not many people can handle all the things people in these jobs go thru.

Have you ever been physically attacked ( or seen a coworker attacked) or had something thrown at you?

I only ask because I work in nursing homes and have seen a lot of shit happen. Also I've been hit, punched, kicked, choked, and had feces thrown at me. I would assume people actually in a facility like that might be a little worse or maybe even the same who knows.
