Might be a dumb question, but what did you do when it rained along the way? Do you plan to make it to a shelter or something?

Ahhh that's awesome. I'm a novice hiker, and attempted a 5 day hike in the White Mountains this past summer. We hit a rainstorm on day 3 and tried to make camp and wait it out. We were using an old tent, and I guess the weight of the rain broke the top just enough to soak the entire tent up. We ended up just finding a 3 mile shortcut back to civilization and grabbing a cab back to our car. But, next time I guess we just have to man up
