It doesn’t seem there is a need so much to make decisions based on evidence and data, but for policy makers to actually understand the concepts. The recent interview of the Google CEO comes to mind. The policy makers on both sides of the aisle clearly didn’t understand how basic search engines operate and they’re then supposed to regulate it?! I suppose I need a question: Now that we have the data to better make decisions, what are your thoughts on education for policy makers to make better decisions using that data?

USA citizen here. Why has defense production act not been utilized to mass produce vaccines and initiate a military-style, round-the-clock rollout? After taking a relative to our local mega-site, everything was so relaxed and casual. Scheduling appointments has been frustrating, it isn’t immediately clear who is eligible and they aren’t confirming qualification for early stage (health care, immune compromised, 65+) meaning it’s very easy to lie.

I feel like mass vaccination should be a bigger deal and we should be ramping up productive and logistics to be doing for more than we are. What am I missing?
