I think a better comparison is Hitchhiker's Guide. The film was a fun watch, but the omission and rearranging of the material meant it wasn't quite as good as the source material.

Daredevil is the epitome of what I feel about movies vs tv. Just imagine if the Daredevil we got was a big budget movie, where they probably wouldn't have hired Elden Hensen to play Foggy, and we would have been introduced to Sticks, Karen, Kingpin, Matt, and Foggy in the first twenty minutes. Instead every character from the show has been so well developed you even feel a connection to the worst criminals.

John Spencer is about the only actor on the West Wing with equal charisma to Martin Sheen. Knowing he's gone also helps to make every scene he's in have more impact.

Yeah Fisk is my favourite criminal from the comics, and I've loved his portrayal from the start. Spoiler-free, I think he's as interesting as Murdock in terms of their morals being tested and what they each have to sacrifice to achieve whatever results from their actions.
