You don't think 10M is too much. Lower it to $1M. People can't tell the difference and most TV shows earn you up to $1M.

To me 1 in 42M vs 1 in 8B makes no difference.

Unless you're really detached. I became a portfolio manager managing 130+ million dollar projects. I'm in my early 40s, I moved to a small 2.5 bedroom house in a small mountain town and I now help my wife sell her home made hair products. We haven't made any money in 3 years. I popped a vein in the last two jobs I had and took all my savings to live an extremely frugal life.

I have a buddy that was making 3 times what I was making and he moved to Colorado to sell ice cream out of a truck.

I also did teaching on and off in community and for profit colleges and hated it too.
