How difficult is it to stay relevant when you have the tech giants like Facebook doing similar things?

I respect the effort and cause. But are you concerned that in the current political climate it doesn't matter? I must admit that I have given in to hopelessness in the current political climate. Everyone in power has noticed how pushing ridiculous nonsense is how you get power now.
