Well done, sir - living the dream. :) Since you're a vet with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, I'd love to share my apocalyptic fiction that actually paints the military in a good light. My question is - how did you get around to getting Ragnarock to pay attention to you? Did you build the audience first or did you submit your stuff directly? I'm always fascinated by an author's journey and I'd like to hear yours.

Danger - can you speak in a little more detail about your missions behind the wall? What were you doing there - how and why were you detained - how did you get free?

Greetings, Don!

Thanks for doing this - I've been enjoying your work for a decade now but I think we've known each other for a lot longer. You were at MSJ in Fremont, CA - I was a Kennedy kid - and you were year ahead of me but I think we were both in the same ROP class in 1994. It's killing me because I keep thinking I recognize you - did we have the same class together?

Wild ... The only thing I've known about that period comes from movies and books so it's always cool to speak with someone who lived through it. Was Markus Wolf as good a spymaster as they make him out to be?
