Do you think the idea of a resource based economy is progressing at a decent enough pace that we could begin to see the first part of a transition anytime soon?

Thank you for the elaborated answer. I had plans to get your book and definitely will now. As someone who works in system automation, I really don't see how it can't replace many if not all of the mundane factory jobs (which I once had, trust me, its alienating). I see resistance to positive change, even from the younger generation and populism rising makes all of us vulnerable to a step back. I heard your point of view on this more or less, so this is also my hope that the shifting point in the capitalism paradigm's rendez-vous with exponential technology will happen in the coming decade.
