I'm never traveling.

Dude, speak for yourself. I'm a man who's been married for years now and I have sex with my wife because it's intimate and fun. I have no innate need for sex. I've gone two months without sex when the wife and I were split up due to military and it literally felt like nothing was wrong.

What you just said is all you, and it's fucked up.

Wow. You are an amazingly strong person for seeing that and having gone through with it. My whole life has been spent on ranches, mine, my family's, and even a commercial ranch, and I've always taken care of pigs, chickens, goats, cows, rabbits, and other animals, and seeing this just sickens me. Not once has anything like that ever happened around me, and for good reasons; we loved and respected our animals, and we treated them as such. I've never seen a herd of 75 head be given less than 500 acres to graze and run on.

Thank you for what you do. What can I do, both as a normal citizen and a rancher?

Here's my take.

I have a very distinct condition where I cannot live off vegetables. I tried three times, and each time, I ended up in the hospital, once in a coma. I need meat. There are more like me. I have tried substituting with tofu and fake meat, but I still get sick.

So what do I do? Well, I'm a rancher. I raise cattle and chickens at the moment. I don't sell them for meat or anything, they are just around because my family members and I keep them here until we decided that we're hungry. I'd say 90% live a long life and die of natural causes. Some 5% die prematurely by coyotes, sickness, etc, but still die of natural causes. I eat the rest. I, personally, shoot them (one time) and then I, personally, dress them, freeze them, and then cook and eat them. Again, I need this. I eat maybe 5 cows a year, maximum.

I also have a farm where I grow the vegetables that I can eat.

Now, my animals live long lives filled with freedom and happiness, but if I don't get to them, then the coyotes will kill them. I need that meat to survive. Is it still wrong, what I'm doing?
