120-150 miles is the distance between the charging stations he used. The Model S has two battery sizes, 60 or 85 kilowatt hours, which get roughly 200 and 260 miles per charge respectively. I'm not certain exactly how much extra passengers affect the range but my guess is it would be below 5% so maybe 10-15 miles less per charge?

I'm a software engineer from Detroit. I'm currently working in Silicon Valley but moving back to Detroit next month. I would leave my job in a heartbeat if Tesla opened up a location in Southeastern Michigan!

Love this thread, just wanted to point out 4 bytes X 528 million would only be about 2GB. Thats one less problem.

On the COTs demo flight 2/3, there were problems with the LIDAR which orients the Dragon in relation to the ISS. The problem was diagnosed as a software problem, fixed, reviewed, and uploaded in an incredibly quick time. Considering all the safety checks required for code that controls the Dragon, how was the team able to accomplish that? How much of that scenario was planned for before launch, and what systems were in place to enable the problem to be solved quickly and safely?

Hi Elon, I'm already saving up for my Model 3. Can you share anything about the Model 3 that we don't already know?
