Interested. saw an ad up on Mandy for a sound guy, replied and made one or two suggestions (like to maybe get you a pop filter on your mic to help back off on the hard P sounds a tad), never heard anything back though.

I am also very interested in who takes care of your sound/music.

I know i'm not OP, but your husband sounds like he's in my boat (studied audio engineering, thought I wanted to do sound design for commercials and film, moved to working on games). The best bit of advice I can offer to your husband is to get a portfolio together of audio/design stuff and cold email as many game start ups and mods as possible. Look through crazedlist, gamasutra, and any other studios he's heard of (or can find via google). Have him email at least 50 studios since most people aren't really always looking to hire (though many don't mind having portfolios on hand for future reference), however you might catch somebody at the exact right moment in their game's development where they're like "this could really use some fresh sound-- oh look at this guys email". Also, the app industry is booming right now so app developers are often looking for sound design and music. He might have to work for free for a little bit (depending on his experience, which I imagine if he's changing industries isn't so high), but getting your name on a game is the first step to getting proper employment. The good news is that gaming is a constantly growing field with plenty of people trying to get in on the action who are willing to pay for good sound :)
