This sounds about right. I used a travel agent for a trip to Hawaii: she got me into a hotel that was "booked up," got free daily breakfasts that were $92 pp, a HUGE room upgrade, champagne, $200 meal voucher and we were basically VIPs. Would not have gotten any of that with, say Expedia or Travelocity (tried - did my research). I use this agent (or at least make a phone call) for every trip!!

I went through like 5 interviews, made it to the 2nd to last round....only to get rejected. I was so bummed. I mean bunned.

Many industries. I own an entertainment company - mostly act as a booking agent. I hire entertainers (DJs, etc.) to have on roster -- and book them up for date. I do all the marketing, advertising, etc. -- they just have to show up + do the gig. I've asked them many times why they don't start their own company....and they say they don't want the hassle of advertising or chasing after customers. So I collect a nice "booking fee" from the price...and they are paid nicely as well.

Why are the new bar signs always designed really, really poorly?
