Do you think "intersectional nihilist" is a contradiction? I mean, if you're a nihilist and you think meaning, purpose, and knowledge are impossible, then why live? Why do anything? Surely you must assume some meaning, if not to life, then at least to human existence, even if we create it ourselves. Subjective non-intrinsic meaning is still meaning.

Ahh ok. So in the strict literary definition of the term you're not really a 'nihilist'. By acting in the absence of any inherent meaning in the world, you've taken what Kierkegaard coined the 'leap of faith', or what Camus referred to as 'the revolt'. If any and all information is self-created, you're essentially acting as an artist, creating meaning in your will to act as opposed to the will to understand. That's a powerful outlook few people are ready to accept, much less capable of viewing the world through.

Yeah, speaking as someone else who was in the navy, I can guarantee you shit was going on you just didn't know about it. If not on the ship then in port. We had officers who were fucking enlisted guys in hotels. We also had the highest rate of drug use of any ship on the west coast, so there's that.
