Haha fair enough. It’s a fairly new but fast developing area of medicine focusing on the trillions of bacteria in our guts and how they interact with us and cause (or protect against) disease. Diet plays a big part.

How about nuking them?
(Joking obviously. Only a total idiot would think that’s a viable option. )

Not OP, but yes, definitely. There have been (decades ago) and are again many studies into this with very promising outcomes.

That's super interesting! I used to do a lot of cycling and always got the sudden urge to poop just as I was about to walk out the door to start my ride. Other people I know do too. Whether it was a race or a big training ride, it was the same thing.
It makes sense that my brain had psyched my body up to ride hard, and my body went "we're ready to go! Better direct the blood to the muscles now" even before I got on my bike. That's pretty cool actually.

Have you had your microbiome mapped? I ask because I just got my results today and the doc said if I leave the bacterial imbalances untreated it would likely lead to autoimmune disorders developing later on. If you have, what did it tell you and what changes did you make in diet, medication etc?
