Unless your donation comes with a contract that says it can only be used for that race, then it’s their money. You can’t give money to a charity and then take it back next year because you found a better one.

How much do you get paid for a game and does that vary a lot based on referee/linesman and level of play?

On page 28 it says there were 272 fatalities from crashes involving a police vehicle while there were 243,817 fatalities that didn’t involve police vehicles between 2000 and 2008 in the US. That’s 1 police caused fatality for every 1,000 non-police caused fatalities.

272 fatalities over 9 years is only 30/year. When there are approximately 1 million police officers in the US, I doubt they get in accidents all the time.

So police officers just magically avoid getting in crashes everyday even though they have a computer next to them and they’re talking in the radio?

The difference is that they’re trained in driving while dealing with other distractions. The average person has only passed their drivers test when they were 100% focused on driving.
