Congrats! You got me beat by about a dozen screws but 8 was enough for me. How did you like that waking up feeling like you were hit by a bus? Fun stuff!

It's been ~ 10 yrs now. They went back in 2 days after and fixed a tear in the spinal fluid sack so I got to do it twice in one week. A couple years later they went back in and added another vertebrae into the mix. The basic problem was crushed/dissolving cartilage and it almost completely pinched my sciatic nerve in two.

My back is fine now but the residual nerve damage has been fun to cope with. I kinda walk like a bike with a bent rim now and one foot is always asleep but it beats a wheelchair any day!

I had to give up riding dirt bikes, walking tightropes and skydiving but I'm ok with that considering I probably shouldn't even be alive after some of my stunts.

You look like you're kicking butt though. I wouldn't have the nerve to get back on a horse that soon. Be careful!

I get the impression your mom isn't computer literate. How can a teacher not be computer literate in the 21st century?
