Stats guy here (I know, I'm disappointing compared to Connor Barwin :/). One of the reasons Sabermetrics works so well in baseball is that baseball is basically a series of independent one-on-one match-ups between a pitcher and a batter. The interactions in football are a lot more complex than probably any other major sport, certainly in America, so I wouldn't be surprised if football was one of the last sports to have that type of analysis be successful, and it might never have sabermetrics to the extent that baseball does.

Just to satisfy /r/zen -- is Zen different from Buddhism? Many on /r/zen have taken the stance that Zen is not Buddhism and is strictly the teachings of the Patriarchs and their Dharma descendants.

I often feel a dull headache when meditating. Do any of you know if this is common or has a known cause?
