What do you think is one major life experience that you've missed out on because of your unique life, and how has it (not) affected you? Abstract or concrete.

It's not quite in the US, but Powder King in BC, Canada. Tiny operation, only 2 lifts last time I was there, but almost the whole mountain is ride-able glades, with a snowmobile road around the bottom for friends to pick you up and bring you back in. And the snow is unmatched. Absolutely unmatched. If you don't mind the drive, it's unreal. There are busses that take people out from nearby cities on weekends, and it's the oldschool experience with kids who don't mind being up at 5 and taking a bus for 3 hours each way to get a day in. If untracked stuff and tree riding is your thing, I've never been anywhere better. They hire prisoners every couple summers to take out all the low growth so the mountain is just big evergreens to weave between.

When a website asks me to accept cookies or else and I dodge the dialogue box, do they go ahead and use them anyways?

That's probably legit. I've done an eighth to myself and had moderate effects. If he's a heavy user, maybe a big guy, and wants a really strong experience, that could be the right amount.

I stopped doing them like 5 years ago after about 12 times. I learned all that I needed to, and I felt like it was in my hands to deal with myself and what I'd learned, it wasn't about exploring anymore.

  1. Are we trying to slow down the inevitable spread to protect our healthcare system, or is there a real chance that good social distancing and other measures will actually stop the pandemic before its run its course? I know it's worth doing, but are we headed to the same end point in either case? (everyone who would be infected has been infected)

  2. How transmittable is this virus? Like, if I wash hands often and keep them to myself, and cough carefully, can I walk into my office to get files and go home again? Or am I seriously risking others with even a brief careful encounter like that?
