Does your mom know? Or could you just send a general thank you note to the ICU unit? You could include a special thank you with a physical description of the nurse you remember within the larger thank you. No nurse would feel bad not having their name remembered when their kindness was.

How do they tend to prepare?

Do you have any concerns about fines or other negative repercussions for bringing voice recorder and other plane parts back to the USA? The Outside Magazine article mentions that bringing part home violated, " Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation."
