Understood about the money plus passengers have an expectation to be picked up right where they are even if it is not necessary the "best" place.

I usually get ticked off when there is a perfectly good place to pull over (such as a no parking section) and stand for a couple of minutes but the cabbie doesn't use it.

Glad to know drivers are responsible for all damages.
