where she lived her life as a woman from your description she would be considered transgender, regardless of whether there was surgery involved. From the sounds of the dolls and some of the other behavior it seems like she was never able to reconcile the fact that she couldn't be a mother biologically, Its a very hard thing to accept.

It's not the saying something bad, it's disrespecting HER. It's clear she had issues, but that's no excuse to just be mean.
