I’m sure you’re a pretty busy dude, but if you get bored or have some free time, would you mind chiming in on posts in r/survival every once in a while?

Using bats sounds kind of fucked up. Why not bows or blades?

Also, I am debating on buying a house inside the city or outside the city. What would you recommend and why?

Outside the city. I live in the mountains and it’s way easier to be independent out here. Your water isn’t going to get shut off because it comes from a well on your property. If that dries up there’s clean, running water, everywhere that will hold you over in an emergency. Your sewage is a septic tank, and a lot of people also have composting toilets.

In our area, so long as we have stuff to burn and the rivers keep flowing, we have power. Even if there wasn’t any power, you could run your own solar or a generator. You can run a wood burning stove, and have a giant propane tank like everyone else does. You can grow food wherever you want on your property, keep some livestock, and/or hunt if all else fails.

We do alright up here and aren’t worried about a lot of the problems people will have in the cities. We’ve also got two medical helicopters for the mountain range since everything is so far apart.
