Are those flashes a bright, actinic blue? I had radiation treatment (gamma knife) for an oligodendroglioma a decade ago and wore that same mask. Every once in a while the beams would line up just right and I'd "see" the cherenkov radiation as they passed through my visual cortex. It was freaky.

I found your "I'm not wonder woman, you know!" line from Sky high to be hilarious!

If it's anything like my treatment, the important part is to keep the head still so the beams consistently hit the right spot. That's what the mask is for: it's molded perfectly to your face so your head CAN'T move. So, in theory, you could be snapping your fingers to the beat and humming, but you probably couldn't sing. Regardless, any of this might shift your head a tiny fraction and you'd be told to stop.
