VERY interesting, since it seems the majority of Bears nation LOVES Phil Emery and despises (if not hates) Jerry Angelo. Do you feel Angelo gets a bad rep and was hamstrung in the salary cap era to keep one side of the ball dominant (defense) at the expense of the other?

I remember after the Superbowl berth that the defense was still quite young. You had guys like Tommie Harris, Briggs, Urlacher, yourself, Vasher, Tillman, Mike Brown - all guys who were above average to great at their position. It was going cost a pretty penny to keep that unit in tact. I remember big contracts to both Vasher / Harris hamstrung the team and the two of them could never quite duplicate the success they'd had on the field during the '05 / '06 campaigns.
